1. Who we are
Editing MadeEasy Ltd is a Bristol-based videography and photography business.
2. What data we collect
When you use our contact form, we collect your name, email address, and any message or files you choose to send us. We do not collect any data automatically beyond standard server logs used solely for security and performance monitoring.
3. How we use your data
We use the information you provide solely to respond to your enquiry, provide the services you have requested, and send you updates or promotions if you have opted in. We will never sell, rent, or share your personal data with third parties for marketing purposes.
4. Legal basis for processing
We process your personal data on the basis of your consent (when you submit our contact form) and our legitimate interest in responding to business enquiries. Where you have opted in to our mailing list, we process your data on the basis of that consent, which you may withdraw at any time.
5. Data retention
We retain your contact information for as long as necessary to fulfil the purpose for which it was collected, or as required by law. If you would like us to delete your data, please contact us at editingmadeeasyinfo@gmail.com.

9. Copyright ownership
All footage, photographs, video productions, edited content, and creative works produced by Editing MadeEasy Ltd are protected by copyright under the Copyright, Designs and Patents Act 1988 (UK). Editing MadeEasy Ltd retains full copyright ownership of all such works upon creation, regardless of whether full payment has been received. Upon receipt of full and final payment, the client is granted a non-exclusive, perpetual licence to use the delivered works for their own personal or business purposes as agreed. This licence does not constitute a transfer or assignment of copyright. The client may not resell, sublicense, or otherwise exploit the works commercially beyond the agreed scope without the prior written consent of Editing MadeEasy Ltd. Editing MadeEasy Ltd reserves the right to use any footage, photographs, or creative works produced for portfolio, promotional, and marketing purposes unless otherwise agreed in writing prior to the commencement of work.
10. Booking fee & payment terms
A non-refundable booking fee of 50% of the total agreed fee is required in order to secure and hold your chosen date and time for any filming, photography shoot, or editing work. This booking fee must be paid in full before any date or time slot can be confirmed or reserved. No work of any kind will commence until the remaining balance has been paid in full. The outstanding balance is due no later than 48 hours prior to the commencement of the agreed work, unless otherwise agreed in writing. Failure to pay the remaining balance by the due date may result in the cancellation of the booking, forfeiture of the booking fee, and the release of the reserved date and time. By paying the booking fee, the client confirms their acceptance of these payment terms in full.
11. Cancellation policy
In the event that the client cancels a booked session or engagement for any reason whatsoever, no refund will be issued. This applies to all payments made, including but not limited to the non-refundable booking fee and any further sums paid towards the total balance. Cancellation by the client for any reason — including personal circumstances, change of mind, illness, or scheduling conflicts — shall not entitle the client to a full or partial refund of any monies paid. In the event that Editing MadeEasy Ltd is required to cancel or postpone a session due to circumstances entirely beyond its reasonable control, including but not limited to government-imposed restrictions, acts of God, extreme weather events, national emergencies, public health directives, or any other force majeure event, no refund shall be issued. In such circumstances, Editing MadeEasy Ltd shall work diligently and in good faith with the client to agree a new date and time at the earliest mutually convenient opportunity. Editing MadeEasy Ltd shall not be held liable for any loss, cost, or inconvenience arising from a cancellation or postponement caused by such circumstances.
12. Rescheduling policy
A client who wishes to reschedule a confirmed booking must notify Editing MadeEasy Ltd in writing no less than 72 hours prior to the scheduled date and time. Subject to availability, Editing MadeEasy Ltd will endeavour to accommodate a rescheduled date at no additional charge, provided that such notice is given within the required period. The non-refundable booking fee paid to secure the original date shall be transferred to the rescheduled booking. Rescheduling requests made with less than 72 hours' notice will be treated as a cancellation and no refund or transfer of monies paid will be made. Editing MadeEasy Ltd reserves the right to limit the number of rescheduling requests per booking to one. Any subsequent rescheduling requests may be subject to an additional administration fee.
13. Delivery & turnaround times
Editing MadeEasy Ltd will endeavour to deliver all edited footage, photographs, and completed works within the timeframe agreed at the time of booking. Where no specific delivery date has been agreed in writing, a reasonable turnaround time will apply depending on the nature and scope of the work. All delivery timescales provided are estimates only and do not constitute a contractual guarantee. Editing MadeEasy Ltd shall not be held liable for any loss, cost, or inconvenience arising from a delay in delivery where such delay is caused by circumstances beyond its reasonable control, including but not limited to technical failure, illness, or unforeseen demand. The client will be notified promptly of any anticipated delay.
14. Client responsibilities
The client is responsible for ensuring that the agreed filming location or photography venue is accessible, available, and suitable for the purposes of the booking at the agreed date and time. Where filming or photography is to take place on private or restricted premises, it is the sole responsibility of the client to obtain all necessary permissions, consents, and licences prior to the commencement of work. Editing MadeEasy Ltd accepts no liability for any delays, losses, or additional costs arising from the client's failure to secure such permissions. Where delays on the day are caused by the client, their guests, or third parties within the client's control, Editing MadeEasy Ltd reserves the right to reduce the scope of work accordingly without reduction in the agreed fee. The client is also responsible for ensuring that any individuals to be filmed or photographed have provided their consent to be recorded.
15. Revisions & amendments
The agreed fee includes the number of revision rounds specified at the time of booking or as set out in any written quotation provided by Editing MadeEasy Ltd. Where no specific number of revisions has been agreed, one round of reasonable amendments is included as standard. Any revisions requested beyond the agreed scope, or which constitute a material change to the original brief, may be subject to additional charges at Editing MadeEasy Ltd's standard rate at the time of the request. Revision requests must be submitted in writing and in a single consolidated communication wherever possible. Editing MadeEasy Ltd reserves the right to decline revision requests that fall outside the original agreed brief or that would require a disproportionate amount of additional work.
16. Non-disparagement
By engaging the services of Editing MadeEasy Ltd, the client agrees not to make, publish, post, or otherwise communicate any negative, defamatory, misleading, or disparaging statements, reviews, or comments about Editing MadeEasy Ltd, its directors, employees, contractors, or its services, whether in person, in writing, or by any electronic means including but not limited to social media platforms, review websites, online forums, or any other public or private channel. This obligation applies during the period of engagement and continues indefinitely following the conclusion of any booking or contract. Where the client has a genuine complaint or concern regarding the services provided, they are encouraged to raise the matter directly and in good faith with Editing MadeEasy Ltd in the first instance, in order to allow a reasonable opportunity to address and resolve the issue. Editing MadeEasy Ltd reserves the right to pursue all available legal remedies in the event that this clause is breached, including but not limited to claims for defamation, malicious falsehood, or damages arising from reputational harm.
17. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, the total liability of Editing MadeEasy Ltd to the client in connection with any booking, contract, or engagement shall not exceed the total fees paid by the client for the specific work to which the claim relates. Editing MadeEasy Ltd shall not be liable for any indirect, consequential, special, or incidental loss or damage arising out of or in connection with the provision of its services, including but not limited to loss of profit, loss of revenue, loss of business opportunity, or reputational damage, whether or not such loss was foreseeable. In the unlikely event of equipment failure, data corruption, or loss of recorded material due to technical fault, Editing MadeEasy Ltd's liability shall be limited to a proportionate refund of the fees paid and shall not extend to any further compensation. Editing MadeEasy Ltd strongly recommends that clients obtain their own event or production insurance where appropriate.
18. Governing law
These terms and conditions, and any dispute or claim arising out of or in connection with them or their subject matter or formation (including non-contractual disputes or claims), shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales. The parties irrevocably agree that the courts of England and Wales shall have exclusive jurisdiction to settle any dispute or claim that arises out of or in connection with these terms.

If you have concerns about how we handle your data, you have the right to lodge a complaint with the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk.

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page with an updated date.
